spirit and often has a
negative mis-representation.
It is truly an active meditation of the body and the mind. Filled with prayer, and joyful praise.
Each of the movements represent the experience of the African people in history and fate in God, Goddess & Universe.

To ward off negative energy and to honor ancestors !
This dance is the Nago dance, the dance of power; Body thrusting foward, breast, arms and head held up high represents breaking through barriers of slavery.
Derived from Ibo- Nigerian dance.
This dance is to give thanks for all blessings in life.
